Objet D'Art Release #29 "Snaggletooth" Carved Haloween Pumpkin Handmade Jeweled Metal Trinket Box

Pumpkin carving originated in Ireland where turnips or beets were used, sometimes with faces carved into them to celebrate the Gaelic festival of Samhain, when “fairies and spirits” were said to be active. These “lanterns” may have been used to light one's way while outside and to protect one’s homes from the evil spirits. Immigrants from Ireland and Scotland brought the tradition to North America. This gorgeous trinket box is 100% handmade by expert jewelers.
